I was recently in to see the doctor about an unusual mark on my arm. This turned into a weeks long anxiety fest which ultimately ended in nothing more than ??? But it got me thinking about my own mortality and what I want to accomplish in my second act of life. So much of what I have done so far in my life has been for family which I would never change for a minute. However, I think a lot of us have this existential moment in life where you say to yourself, ” What’s next?”

I’m Canadian and I have been living in the USA for the past few years as a mini life adventure. What that experience has taught me is just how much I miss home. For all the faults that Canada may have, I can truly see clearly how different our two countries are. Canadians are fairly agreeable and for the most part share a lot of common values. While some may reside in the fringes, the vast majority are reasonable minded. You certainly wouldn’t see nut jobs in the government like the ones holding high level positions in what used to be considered the greatest nation in the world. Many of the goverment officials in office today including the former president would have been thrown in jail.
